Hitachi: Leading Every Excavator Class (Except One…)
In our experience, Hitachi set the benchmark across almost every excavator class. Their build quality, smooth hydraulics, and dependable performance make them a favourite for operators and a safe choice for hire fleets. So it’s no surprise that our latest addition includes a brand-new Hitachi ZX26U, a compact machine with serious capability for groundwork, utilities, landscaping and tight-access excavation.
Bobcat: Best in Class for Micro Diggers
While Hitachi dominate most excavator categories, there’s one spot where another brand edges ahead — the micro digger class. And in our humble opinion, Bobcat lead the way here. Their micro machines offer superb stability, impressive digging power for their size, and unrivalled access in confined areas.
That’s why we’ve also welcomed a new Bobcat E10z to our fleet — a zero-tail swing micro excavator perfect for indoor work, gardens, narrow gateways, and all those tight spaces where bigger machines can’t reach.
